Im going to share a dream “ritual” with you that I was made hip to by another individual. It will provide you with increased dream lucidity and recall. It’s very simple and the tools required are easily accessed.

  1. Pan of water placed under bed w/ sea salt added
  2. Pour sea salt in each corner of the room your bed is in.
  3. Hang garlic in your window

The sea salt helps to keep good energy inside the room.  The garlic in the window will keep the negative energy out and the water under the bed absorbs the negative energy already in the room. You should be able to have heightened dream lucidity and recall upon the first night.

Are you a cuspian?

In astrology there are individuals known as cuspians. These individuals happen to to have a planet in close proximity to the succeeding planet mathematically. For example: There is an individual born on May 21st . This person will be ruled by two planets (venus and mercury in this instance). This person is a Taurini (Taurus and Gemini mix) born in the “cusp of energy”.


Now many astrologers say that the idea of cusps is incorrect and not possible. But as a true cuspian myself , and a KNOWER that there are small areas of black and white and a HUGE area of gray in most all aspects of existence, that this simply is untrue. Also being a cuspian myself I can testify to this.

So this dynamic tends to create a blend of traits from two different signs

I like this wheel that I found because it displays the “gray areas” I was talking about. The cusps are usually 2-3 days before and after the sun passes through a new sign.

Now I will take myself as an example.

I was born in the cusp of prophecy or the 5 day period of December 19-December 24th. I refer to myself as a Caprittarius. ( I was born on the first day of Capricorn, 30 degrees in Sagittarius )

There are not many descriptions floating around about cuspians/cuspers but I’ve come across a few. Here is one that describes my cusp :
“Those born on the Cusp of Prophecy do not expect to be liked by other people, although it often happens that they are. Being independent of the approval of others gives Sagittarius-Capricorns a power and freedom that many lack. On the other side of the coin, they may themselves like few of the people they meet, and may thus be seen as antisocial. There is generally speaking only one requirement for being a close friend to a Sagittarius-Capricorn, besides the fact that you like them: you must accept them without reservation for what they really are. Those born on this cusp have their antennae out to detect when others are flattering them or simply being polite, which doesn’t cut the cake. Consequently, only a few individuals manage to get close to most Sagittarius-Capricorns.”

So I’m ruled by Jupiter, which is a planet of freedom,expansion and also Saturn which is a planet of restrictions,responsibility. Kind of a paradox. Natally my planet Jupiter is actually in Sagittarius so it is exalted.

Saturn transits Libra: Are you ready?

Tomorrow will mark the beginning of the planet Saturn’s transit through Libra and what it marks for many people, especially those experiencing this transit for the first time ( those born in later than 1980) will be taking a giant leap into a new personal era. This is the return of Saturn for those in their mid-late twenties. A three year stretch of destroying, rebuilding and restructuring.

Relationships and communication

This transit will effect you greatly if you have cardinal planets and planets ruled by Saturn like Capricorn, Libra, Aquarius. If you’re natal Saturn is in Libra this will be an extra special time in your life.

So what exactly will happen? A lot of things will be happening. Since Libra (Kemetic god Anubis) is the sign of balance and justice, this will be a period of balancing. You as an individual will have a more clear vision of what is working to help you and what is working against you, and then being able to cut away what is not working in your favor. In contrast you will have a clearer view of what will work for you and the challenge will be accepting what is unfamiliar and new even though it will assist you in your transformation. If you feel you have been shortchanged, you will be more tactful but self-assured in airing your grievance. If you have been slighting someone, Libra will bring out your apologetic nature and you will feel the need to stop it because the realization of what you are doing is wrong will come to light.

Saturn rules relationships and communication, so during this time period of Libra. You will able to cut off dead weight and will be able to communicate this to those who are dead weight. This will not come without static as not everyone is ready for this balancing act. There will be those who will offended and this will be a trying time for you if you aren’t willing to work through this.

Over this time period we will feel a need to have a partner, a counterbalance, in a relationship with clearly defined and fair rules. Libra will also grant us the patience to weigh all options before taking this step. Since this is a transformative era for many of us, partners and relationships that will help us to grow will become highlighted and it is up to the individual to see this. On the flip side hanging on to that which doesn’t work for us will create more intense static than normal because the Libran nature is to seek balance so you will be working in opposition and not in cooperation with Saturn. If you are not working in accordance to Libra blame issues will be abundant during this time also. Your partner will blame you for not communicating enough, or ignoring your needs a vice-versa. Nations will miscommunicate much more than normal as we are seeing daily in the news.

Destroy and rebuild, return of saturn.

During the Saturn in Virgo period there has been a research and development period for self and spirit. I believe we all can all see the crumble of the old paradigm. Banks failing, little faith in government. Widespread foreclosures and businesses closing their doors. People generally uneasy . This is bringing about a completely new focus of existence for many earth citizens. There have been more millionaire entrepreneurs created in the last few years than in anytime in history. The next few years will be bringing many many more. People are not satisfied with simply living to work anymore. The weekend warrior and 9-5 dynamic is becoming obsolete. Humans are becoming more interested in their soul purpose and doing what fulfills their hearts desires as opposed to just working to make a buck to buy more “stuff.” Unfortunately there will be many people who will not be aware of this shift and they will be left in the dust as the gap between the rich and poor increases.

Passing of Saturn ( period of 27-30 yrs of age)is the transition into true adulthood that will be especially apparent for people who have strong Saturn influence. Add this on top of Saturn’s transition into Libra during this same period and you will not recognize your old self, it will be like the emergence of a butterfly from out of it’s cocoon.

So right now up until April 2010, then July 2010 until October 2012 it will be all about balance, patience, communication, persevering. Accepting what works, ridding yourself of what doesn’t. It’s going to be an interesting ride. Thanks for reading-Sutekh

Is astrology a useful tool or evil hocus pocus.

In my never ending quest into overstanding why things are the way they are, I have read psychology and sociology books, explored different religious doctrines, and just have continuously exercised an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. When I started to delve into astrology I had reservations. All my life I have heard religious leaders talk about how “evil” astrology was as well as other occult sciences ( even though many appear to practice themselves). Is it evil? Will you end up in proverbial hell?Or are you missing out on a useful tool .


What about astrology?
First off, there are many different types of astrology as there are many cultures on this planet. You have western astrology( which is heavily influenced by KMT/ Egypt, I would venture to say “borrowed”). Then you have eastern astrology(Chinese), Karmic, Mayan and Aztec astrology to name some. The word Astrology (Greek) means study or science (logos) of the stars (astro). Many people are into horoscopes which is based on your sun sign(date of birth) and that is barely even scratching the surface. If one decides to ever do a natal chart( intermediate -advanced astrology) you will realize that astrology is indeed, a precise mathematical science. The dynamics of each planet and where they are in the galaxy at a given point in time will drastically influence who you are when you are born. I unapologetically believe this. I happen to find western astrology the most accurate. You have 12 signs in western astrology. I happen to have been born under the sun sign of capricorn which is a goat. It represents a serious,cautious, and calculating person who climbs up a mountain surefootedly. This describes a large part of my being.

It’s all in the alignment.
Each planet has a specific personality characteristic tied to it when you look at intermediate-advanced astrology.

Examples:
Mars-Rules physical energy. If you are heavily influenced by Mars in you chart you will be aggressive and a go-getter.

Saturn-Rules hard work and responsibility. If heavily influenced by Saturn you will be a rock and very reliable.

Jupiter-Rules sense of optimism and joy. If heavily influenced by Jupiter you will just be a more cheerful and positive thinking person regardless of circumstance.

This is just a small part of more advanced astrology.

Religious leaders and occult sciences like astrology

This is one area I find very very interesting for many reasons. One is that religious monuments and buildings are loaded with astrological symbols. If you look at this Catholic church in Vienna built in 1222 for instance:

You clearly see the dial is a natal chart on the front of the building as well as Leo standing on top of the platform.
There are an enormous amount of bible verses which are astrological teachings, take this verse in genesis for instance:
Genesis 37:9 “And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.” This concept is the opposite of what religious leaders are preaching. If the bible is instructing you to do something how can it be evil?

Another reason I find the religious leaders rejection of occult science is that many Imam’s, priests, and Rabbi’s are clearly very skilled spell casters. Sit in on any religious ceremony and you will see this in action.

Most of all I believe that the rejection of astrology by religious leaders is due to fear of their followers freeing themselves. Astrology is like the blueprint of your being and will reveal the duality of your existence so that you can identify and deal with both of your polarities effectively thus freeing yourself. Religious leaders want subservient followers not free thinkers that know where they are going. When ever I hear someone tell me to NOT to do something without substantiating the reason why it immediately causes suspicion in my mind. I am not here to bash anyone’s beliefs, I just want to help expand minds and viewpoints so as to help them find their way to fulfillment.
