shooting stars

When a Sun (man) and moon(woman) come together to conceive a child . They create a star. This star shines bright for a period of time. Cheerful, very energetic albeit moody. Very honest, creativity is beaming. Back when my star power was burning brightest, I could sit on the dirt and play with stick and be completely intrigued. What happens though as you get older.

I think of the body cosmically. Your pulsar (heart) and quasar (pineal gland) are highly active and functional while you are young, but dim as you age. Your heart is almost completely snuffed out by schooling and the following entrance to the rat race.Pineal is calcified by poor living habits. Your will is crushed and a metaphorical door is closed on the stairway to heaven.

Why do I say your heart is snuffed out by schooling? Well think about this, when you see a school of fish. Are they going in their own direction, or are they all following each other. Of course, they all follow each other, mainly because it’s not safe for one to venture off. This is what the education system teaches. It’s not safe to venture off, you will not make it when you venture off, so stick with the program. This is the root of misery as I see it. Many do have an innate desire and will to do what THEY want to do, and throughout life you are told that no you can’t. You won’t make it, it’s too hard, etc etc. So here you are aging, with a very faint spark left in that heart of yours after you have been told for years and years, to stick to the program and don’t stray from the beaten path……

Well FORGET what ya heard!

Cultivate all and any relationships that pour gasoline on your metaphorical fire. Reignite that star power you had and blaze your own trail. Find what your life purpose is, what your karmic goals are. Do an astrological natal chart. Seek the answers to what it is that sparks your fire, because it will not be the same for everyone. Once you do find what and who does, then you be able to confidently be able to prove all naysayers wrong, and you will shine so bright you will be a beacon to others, which is the real prize.

Healing mental wounds and dropping emotional baggage.

There are things that everyone on this planet experiences regardless of where you were born, what hue of skin you have, or what religious doctrine you subscribe to. One of these things is being emotionally scarred. Whether it be a bully beating on you as a child, being sexually abused, or past loves lost. We all have these experiences. For many, these occurrences completely derail potentially fruit bearing relationships and associations. How do we heal these wounds? How do we let go?

Letting go of past hurts is a MUST

I’m coming with another boxing analogy again. I know I use them often but I feel as though boxing has so many parallels to life in general it cannot be overlooked. So you have a potential championship fighter quickly rising through the ranks of his division. They are gleaming with confidence and ready to take on any challenges thrown in front of them. Until one fight where their opponent just has the perfect style to offset any advantages they may have. It’s the 9th round and he goes down hard, his equilibrium completely thrown off and the ten count is up and the bell sounds. He just got his first loss and by knockout. Now faced with a damaging mental blow they come to a fork in the road, will they now associate all boxers they face with being knocked out? Or will they treat it as an isolated incident and know that that boxer they faced just had their card, accept it and move on. This is the dilemma facing us all. When we fail a class with one specific teacher, does this mean that we are never going to excel in the subject? If we are hurt by a man or woman in a relationship does that mean all men and women are going to do wrong by you? Of course not, but many of us have this subconscious belief that it will, even if we show the opposite sentiments outwardly.

When I was in the first grade there was an embarrassing incident that tool place when I was presenting a project in front of the class. I still have a little too much pride to go into complete detail, but from then up until a few years ago speaking in front of groups of people was completely terrifying even I didn’t give off any visible signs. There are a slew of things that I did to conquer this and they apply to anything; relationships, childhood scars, fears of flying etc. Just about anything.

What you have to do

What worked for me and the first step I took was visualization. Visualization that I would go and speak in front of groups with great success and the audience would show the utmost adoration. I know this will sound cliche`, but fear of failure is a great way to bungle anything. Visualizing failure results in failure, so do the opposite and visualize yourself as a success. Leave that childhood incident back in that classroom is what I did. That was then and this is now. It’s a new day and I’m not the same person with the same outlook and I will accept new things into my life and not shut them out because of something non -related to that specific incident.

Another great tool is to write your pains down in a journal/diary. Put the burden on the book and release it from psyche. When you decide to write something new, you turn the page. Just like you “turn the page” on a past wound. Then once you are done writing that day and when all the pages are full you can “close the book” on a lot of pain and suffering and leave it in the book and not carry it around with you and have to work against you. There are also crystal therapies and reflexology techniques like EFT (Emotional freedom technique) that will help you. I will get into that later though. The bottom line is you don’t have to carry this weight around like an albatross around your neck, there are ways to check that baggage at the door. So you don’t have to unload this baggage on everyone you come in contact with. Thanks for reading-Sutekh.

The Fatal Concept of a “Job” Psychology

“Nature rewards producers and punishes consumers.”

When I stated this sentence to a Christian gentleman, he amazingly got the point. Even though we were coming from different perspectives, we were able to reach the same conclusion about our people and economic development. He even stated that if one were to study the Old Testament teachings, one would conclude that the “job” concept as we know it was not meant for humanity.

When the children of Israel were in the desert, the Universe had to destroy the slave psychology of the people in order for them to be “right” to enter the Promised Land. It took two generations to eradicate the behavior. Once they became truly free, they had to enter and conquer the present inhabitants to establish themselves. Then, the Universe taught them skill sets that made them producers of their daily bread, milk and honey.

As we witness what Alan Greenspan calls “The Age of Turbulence”, we must prepare for the world to come. We must be prepared to produce for ourselves again. How should we interpret this “age of turbulence”? Is this our opportunity to cross the Red Sea while Pharaoh’s armies are drowned? Are we ready for “life without Pharaoh”?

Part of the reason why I’ve pushed for the aggressive pursuit of entrepreneurship (especially children) is to become masters of our own economic fate. The fatal concept of the “job psychology” reminds me of the child that refuses to evolve into adulthood. When the mother eagle begins kicking her eaglets out of the nest, she knows that they will have to learn to “do for self” or die in the wilderness. Animals use game theory to teach their children life lessons and skill sets that will serve them as adults in the wild. In the human world, we have violated those laws by conditioning ourselves and our children to look for some “sugar daddy” (corporation) to take care of them for 30-40 years and pay for our medical assistance in our “golden years” (which doesn’t even provide a lot of gold to make our elders feel social or secure).

If you are working now, begin to treat it as an apprenticeship. You should NEVER look to stay on someone’s plantation for ALL your adult years. Most apprenticeships usually last 4-5 years. Once that learning experience is completed, the apprentice should be equipped with everything s/he needs to go and do for self and take on her own apprentice. That is how certain skill sets are kept within families and societies. If I’m a master woodworker, I should take on an apprentice or small group of students to teach them not only the woodworking craft, but the business side of woodworking as well. This is the natural order of creating “producers” as opposed to the modern “consumer conditioning” that is taught in the “American FOOL System”.

So, as we witness the economic changing of the guard on this planet, let us focus on enhancing our business and financial literacy. When we seek an education, let it be one that will teach us how to produce our own daily bread, milk and honey. Instead of trying to make the world play checkers, we should focus on learning chess and join the ranks of those business and financial grandmasters that create opportunities for others.

Let Nature reward your production as you bring products and services of value to the marketplace and let Nature continue to punish those who choose to consume like swine and offer little to nothing in return.-Minister 8-ball

On the highway: reflection of the peoples conscious.

If you want to get a glimpse of what plagues people on this planet just hop in your vehicle and take a ride. If you are paying attention to other drivers at all, you are guaranteed to see something that projects their state of being. An angry driver, fast driver, little car, big truck and so on, all speak to a persons level of consciousness and state of mind. Observing a driver may tell you more about them than holding a conversation would. I just thought I would share some observations with everyone.

Big Truck, little car, Big person, little person.

Has anyone ever noticed how big trucks are driven usually by extra large people? I will see a man in a huge Suv who’s stomach is higher than the steering wheel. This man is obviously carrying a lot of baggage and feels the need to feel comforted (stomach tells the story.) He also feels the need to feel comforted and safe while he’s traveling on the road thus the domineering Chevy truck.
Another example of this safety/large vehicle dynamic is when elderly people are driving. Many people laugh when they see a tiny woman at the helm of a huge “boat”. This is to provide a feeling of comfort and safety since they tend to be fragile at their advanced age. Its comforting knowing that your 4,000 pound car is going to insulate you from danger. On the flip side a small vehicle will indicate someone is living on a small scale. Frugal with resources. Many times when I see cars like the Mini Cooper or the Volkswagon Golf the people are also miniature. City dwellers especially in Europe love smaller cars. I’ve noticed people tend to be smaller( petite, slender) as well as meal portions .

Hard looks.

Nothing is a better telltail sign of the “rat race” then the attitudes and facial expressions of drivers. Self-centered, me first driving is so common it can be maddening to drive anywhere. Some people will just chit chatter away on their cell-phones willfully ignorant to the fact that they are controlling a deadly weapon. So there is no real need to be talking to your friend on the cell-phone about how good the cereal you had for breakfast was. How about drivers who drive in the middle of the road on a two-way street. Say you have to turn onto this street, and the driver approaches the corner in the middle of the street, only leaving you a few feet of space to turn onto this street and pass them. It’s worse when its a person in a large Suv! This sense of entitlement is seen throughout society in other ways. Think about the people who pass you and look back making bitter beer faces with eyes that could pierce steel. Are these people mad at you? Or are they mad that they didn’t leave earlier so that they didn’t have to rush to their destination.

Treat driving like a walk in the park.

Be jovial, calm, and respectful of others. Stay in your lane, don’t block the fast lane. Do not mean mug other drivers. If you are in the park jogging and a woman is walking with a 3 baby wide stroller, are you going to “beep” your horn ie, tell her to move out of the way and look back at her with an angry face because she was going slow? Of COURSE NOT! So why do it just because you are wrapped in 3,000 lbs of metal. You do it if a soccer mom in a minivan is driving slow.
Calming music is just excellent for driving, smooth jazz, easy listening, slow jams, soul, neo-soul,slow classical are great genre’s for traveling. Personally I avoid hip-hop (depending on the track), dance, techno, reggae (depending on the track also) now for driving because they are lower frequency tones that tend to drive your more feral selves or your root chakra. They will influence you to drive more aggressively and drive faster in my opinion.

I know it may sound a little rant-ish, I just though I would share some of these observations with you, I hope you took something from it. Thank you for reading-Sutekh

The need for seed:why seedless produce is harmful to your wellbeing.

I’m going to build a little bit on my article “The art of buying produce” found here: http://thelifeofabundance.com/blog/?p=13 .
Because there are even deeper and more important issues pertaining to buying your fruits and veggie than simply debating between buying organic or conventional. This issue is one that slips under the radar of 99% of people even very conscious consumers and that is the problem of seedless fruit. Organic produce can still be genetically modified which is why you see produce like Organic SEEDLESS grapes. There is no requirement to state whether produce is genetically modified. For all the Christians out there I’m sure you have heard the verse in Genesis where God tells Adam to eat from flesh that bears seeds. This is because all the fruit you were meant to eat is supposed to be seeded. Why is this and what can you do about it?
Man playing G.O.D.(generator, operator, and destroyer)

Man, completely ignoring and/or willfully violating  universal law and order, has decided to patent seeds, modify crops genetically and completely disregard the well being of the consumer in favor of greed, profits, and control. Modifying grapes and watermelon for instance, so that “annoying” seeds would not have to be spit out while eating them. Luckily I found some seeded red grapes yesterday, but you do have to go on a mission. It should not be this way! This seedless fruit also makes sure that only certain few can actually produce these fruits, as opposed to you buying a watermelon, and saving all the seeds. After which you plant the seeds on your property to grow watermelon patches, thereby eliminating the need to go to the store for watermelon.
Control and profits at the forefront and the health of the populous on the back burner. This is why we must be conscious consumers( I don’t like using the word consumer because it reminds me of garbage can and is demeaning in my opinion, but for the sake of simplicity  I will use it). You can’t simply go to the store and buy everything and anything, that’s what pigs do, is consume anything. So these agro-corps that see the populous as pigs(consumers aka garbage cans) expect you to not be conscious of what you’re buying other than what tastes good and is inexpensive.

Seedless fruit, infertile and impotent people.

It is no wonder why there are so many men and women with reproductive problems when we eat food that can’t reproduce itself. Seedless fruit is a mutation, a bastardized version of a wholesome fruit. For example, I have eaten a genetically modified orange and an organic seeded orange back to back in a taste test. There was no comparison at all. The GM orange had a thick rind, small amount of flesh, little juice and flesh a pale yellowish color and very bland taste.

The Organic seeded orange was large, lots of flesh, and very very orange in color, and MUCH MUCH more sweet and juicy. The difference is clear as night and day. Now think about how watered down and devoid of content that GM orange sounds. Wouldn’t you think that eating this watered down, frail, and impotent fruit would make the consumer of this orange equally weak, frail and impotent? The old adage “you are what you eat” fits like a glove here. You eat seedless fruit, which lacks electricity, potency, and it’s brain center. Naturally it will show it the people that eat this fruit.

All hope is not lost.

I remember when I was a kid how great it was to have a big, red, juicy slice of watermelon on a scorching mid-summers day. I miss those watermelons , ah memories. I know the article may sound a bit hopeless, because after all this is an important issue. There is a greater number of people however, growing more and more conscious to how the earth and natural law and order operates. In the spring here, Rutgers University hosts an agriculture show where you can go and buy organic and non-gm fruits and vegetables, the attendance levels for this are through the roof. Many other universities hold these shows too, as well as municipalities. The support and interest in organic and non-gm produce is ever growing so it is very encouraging . The interest in Organic produce is also on the increase ever so steadily. I’m very happy about that. I believe sooner rather than later, children will be able to enjoy the same juicy, fleshy, seeded watermelons that I was able to enjoy as a kid. Thank you for reading-Sutekh

Who is responsible for your health?

The health care debate has been raging on for years and it has been pretty vicious. Many people feel as though universal or “socialized” health care is the way to go and others feel that it should be up to the individual on how to take care of them self. Certain folks feel that you need health insurance to be “safe” from being thrown down the financial well. Is this really a good mind state to have? Who is really responsible for your health.

Let me start off by saying this, you create what you fear. I believe I have said this a few times before. If you are afraid of getting sick because you don’t have health insurance, if you are afraid you will get injured, you will end up sick and injured. An example of this is years ago I was playing basketball. I injured my shoulder when I was a little kid from throwing the baseball incorrectly. My shoulder would sublux, or slightly come out of socket. About a week before that day my shoulder subluxed. I came onto the court worrying about my shoulder. I made in effort not to use that arm and not to play overly aggressive and guess what, my shoulder dislocated. I have many more examples of this and I’m positive you do too. This is why we have to become “masterminds” and more conscious of our thoughts. If you are worried, what you worry about will manifest itself. Short meditation sessions will begin to strengthen your ability to control what you are thinking about.

So who is responsible for your health?

YOU are responsible for your own health. I know this sounds harsh, but I will elaborate on why. For one, taking responsibility for your own health is a daily practice that will build your character and confidence. A practice that will enhance all aspects of your being. When you know you have the confidence and will to take care of your own health, it means you will have the confidence and will to tackle other areas of your life. After all, it is yourself you see in the mirror and everything starts with numero uno. Unfortunately many people fall victim to the big mommy syndrome and believe that because they have health insurance that what they put in their mouths really doesn’t matter,” my insurance has me covered.” This is a self defeating mentality. Your health insurance ( death insurance really, as no one can insure your health but you, but it will keep you breathing) will not make sure your body is free from mucus, or that you won’t have 50 lbs of foodstuffs lodged in your colon, or that you will weigh under 400 lbs. When the symptoms of living unconsciously for years arise, and then you react and say how did this happen, you insurance may kick you in the pants financially and you won’t be able to do what you normally do for income. It is a lot easier and you will enjoy your life more( I mean a LOT more) by being proactive about your health, take the initiative to find out how to be healthy. Learn how your mind works to create your realities, learn how what you put in your mouth affects your bodies out put.

Health savings accounts for the independent minded

Health savings accounts are accounts for individuals to save money in the event of an illness or injury. This money can be used for whatever reason however and the account accrues interest. You may save 10 years worth of income and never use a dime, then you will have a nice little bundle for a rainy day, maybe to take your family on vacation or start that business you’ve always wanted to start. It leaves a lot of freedom up to the individual, whereas standard HMO health insurance is like a monthly tax that you keep paying, but may never need and when you do you still need to pay a fee.

Swine flu? Why worry.

Swine flu is now at world wide pandemic levels according to some. This news has caused fear and hysteria as you will see people driving and walking around with surgical masks on in the hopes that they will prevent an infection. All this due to a boy and his pig in Mexico. What is really going on though, what is all the hype about, and why should you worry about it.

Blatant misinformation by media outlets.

I have tuned in to “news” programs over the past few days and there have been many instances of overt exaggerations and misinformation. Some with the banner going across the screen saying something like “more swine flu deaths”, only to have the anchor say something to this effect, “deaths from what health officials BELIEVE to be the swine flu.” So in reality these people could have died from a cold, or from too much alcohol, or from a heart condition. Just about anything could have happened to these folks so it is very disingenuous to promote fear with such unfounded claims. This is why you must be a conscious individual when tuning in to television (or tell-lie-vision) programming. Many people cannot deconstruct what is being said as to be able to decipher fact from fallacy. If the information is useful than I will store it in my mental hard drive (brain). If the information is not useful than I will disregard and pay it no attention. When I say pay attention you must remember that it is called paying attention because you spend energy, you pay with energy. So would you pay for garbage? Would you pay for moldy food? No , so don’t pay attention to junk information or misinformation. There is a lot of information leading to the possibility of some foul play, or a business scheme going on with this whole thing, but it’s not worthwhile to focus your energy on that in my opinion.

Don’t worry, be happy.

Have you ever noticed that people who are always worried about being sick, are always sick? I worked with this woman who always had hand sanitizer in her pocket. She was always worried about germs getting on her hands, in her food, just always paranoid about germs. SHE WAS ALWAYS SICK! This woman always had cold symptoms, or was out with a fever or some other ailment. So why even worry about the swine flu. Fear, doubt, worry are limiting emotions that have been proven to lower immunity. By focusing on illness you will surely become ill. Simple universal law here. I can assure you that the people going around with the surgical masks on will be the ones getting sick with the so called “swine-flu.” You will naturally attract illness and dis-ease if that is what you are focusing on. As the adage goes, “as a man thinketh, so is he. We have to become masters of the mind. Controlling our own thoughts. Because as it’s been said many times, if you want to control people control their thoughts. If you can control your own thoughts you cannot be controlled!

Negative energies and fear, BE GONE.

First and formost focus on being healthy. Affirm daily that you are healthy. If you aren’t where you want to be, affirm that you will be healthy soon. “I will be completely healthy or I am completely healthy and fulfilled.” This is the subtle message behind the little engine that could. Chanting affirmations really does work. A great tool I find in dispersing negative energy is an orgone pyramid. These can be purchased on auction sites for as little as 30 dollars. I thought these things were all hocus pocus, but have found that they do work. A crystal to help with the riddance of fear and negative thought is amazonite which I have around the television sets. Make sure to get plenty of sleep at the right hours ( not sleeping too far past sunrise). Keeping mucus membranes clear by abstaining from dairy products and food allergens. Mullein is a great herb for keeping mucus membranes clear just in case.

Remember, it’s all in your head. Good health and prosperity to you all. Thank you for reading. -Sutekh

Home gardening: It just makes cents.

Maybe it’s just me being a Capricorn and me preferring functionality and practicality over aesthetics, but do you ever travel through a suburban neighborhood with sprawling grass lawns and ever think to yourself ,”what a waste?” In the inner-cities there are many empty lots with nothing but dirt and an old car chassis. We are definitely in a time of cosmic change and one change is to let go of your ego and become what you were meant to be, which is a producer, a creator. So why not begin with something simple like growing food on the property that you own. It’s inexpensive, relatively low maintenance, and is very fulfilling. SO WHY NOT DO IT! Especially when a pint of blueberries will run you 4 dollars.

Home gardening use to be the norm in the city and the suburbs and a majority of people did it in some capacity. People used to sell home grown fruits and veggies at a farmers market, on the street, or would give them to charities. Nowadays people are so focused on chronological time barriers and other things that may or may not be truly important, that they have simply given up on the idea of home gardening or are just not conscious of it.

It is time for us to start being producers again.

The time for endless consumption is over in my opinion. We can all see what endless consumption does to people. It is time to balance our intake with output. In society we used to create and produce MOST of our own goods, build our own houses, sow our own fields (well, depending on your race), make our own clothes and so on. That’s not to say we need to revert to the proverbial “stone age,” but we should to begin producing goods again. I’m not talking at a 9 to 5 but with more entrepreneurial style endeavors. Creating landscapes, woodworking, making jewelry, quilts etc. The universe always rewards producers. Sell your wares or donate them, either way you will be rewarded. Don’t think that it is completely futile to donate goods and services. Spend time doing what you like to do. A home garden is a great way to help ignite that flame. It helps connect you with the source, and will guide you in the right direction. At the same time you improve your health. So what are you waiting for, get to it!

It’s very healthy and theraputic.

When you grow food on your own property you know whats been on it and where it’s been. There is no guessing games in terms of if the fruit is really organic, or if the lettuce is full of pesticide residue. It’s fresh with no chemi-kills and electrical. Raw foods are like charged batteries that get detached from the power source when picked, however the charge dies out much faster on your fruits and vegetables than a battery. So when your fruit that you eat is trapped on a boat for weeks and months before it reaches your mouth the charge is lost. Being in the garden is also very calming and humbling. You can feel the source emanating from the plants. In many movies when there is a spousal argument and somebody storms out of the house, where do they end up going? THE PARK by the WATER. This is not a coincidence, and accident or anything of the like. Your dna knows where to go for your body to regain it’s balance. Watching worms and other little critters at work as a reminder that you too have a purpose in this life. I know i come back in the house feeling very mellow after maintenance of the garden.

Couldn’t be less expensive and time consuming

I spent less than 50 dollars on all the items needed. Seeds, mulch, soil, and whatever else. Naturally the water bill will take a slight, but negligible hit. At the end of the day though, you will see the benefits on your wallet. Pints of berries can cost up to 5 dollars and at home you can pick a bowl full every few days FRESH, the only costs incurred will be the plant itself and the water you use to water it! The upkeep of your garden (or mine at least) is less than a half hour a week. Initially depending on the size of land plot you are using it may take 1 day in preparation, but after that it’s cake. If you really don’t have the space there are always pots, boxes and window boxes or you can go to pick it yourself farms. The links are a few articles back if you want to check that out.

Home gardening is just an overall great experience that will improve your health, help you reconnect with the source and thicken your wallet. I recommend it for everyone, especially seniors because it’s low impact exercise. Support small farms, farmers markets, organizations that advocate organic farming. Start a green movement in your backyard with home gardening.-Sutekh

Don’t let the bad news sabotage your success!

In the 1930s during the great depression when many people were going off the deep end (no pun). Charles Darrow was working on perfecting and marketing the Monopoly board game. He went to company after company promoting the game trying to find a taker. Eventually he did just that and in 1935 Parker Brothers bought the rights to the game from Darrow. In the toughest of times this man was on the street selling his game and pitching it to potential buyers amidst chaos and uncertainty. This is an example of what I am talking about.

Many of us have fallen into the trap of fear and doubt. We go to work surrounded by negative people and come home and set ourselves on the couch. Put the TV on only to hear more negative news about the “recession”, then talk to neighbors and relatives about how bad things are and repeat this cycle. This is not a formula to excel people. The media fear mongering assists in putting people into this cocoon where they withdraw themselves from the world. It is your choice however at the end of the day.

Successful people like Charles Darrow think of their plan or their “lane” so to speak and keep driving in that lane until they get to the finish line. He projected himself on the world, not withdraw. This is what all the most prosperous do to realize their dreams. They look for opportunities as opposed to look for obstacles. Find a niche or anything that you love to do and JUST GO FOR IT. FEAR should not be a guiding principle in any of your personal endeavors. Be aware of open doors and walk through them. Now it’s one of those things that’s simple but not necessarily easy. If you can train your mind to think on a more conscious plane. Using the laws of attraction, law of vibrational attainment for example then you will be able to see these doors open and it will make your goals that much easier to attain. Use crystals to assist you. Flourite will help you concentrate and focus on what you want and Ametrine will assist you in letting go of your fears. Dedicate time to you plan and ONLY focus on your plan for that given time. Success is attainable for everyone and like the saying goes: “ain’t nothing to it but to do it.”-Sutekh
