Don’t let the bad news sabotage your success!

In the 1930s during the great depression when many people were going off the deep end (no pun). Charles Darrow was working on perfecting and marketing the Monopoly board game. He went to company after company promoting the game trying to find a taker. Eventually he did just that and in 1935 Parker Brothers bought the rights to the game from Darrow. In the toughest of times this man was on the street selling his game and pitching it to potential buyers amidst chaos and uncertainty. This is an example of what I am talking about.

Many of us have fallen into the trap of fear and doubt. We go to work surrounded by negative people and come home and set ourselves on the couch. Put the TV on only to hear more negative news about the “recession”, then talk to neighbors and relatives about how bad things are and repeat this cycle. This is not a formula to excel people. The media fear mongering assists in putting people into this cocoon where they withdraw themselves from the world. It is your choice however at the end of the day.

Successful people like Charles Darrow think of their plan or their “lane” so to speak and keep driving in that lane until they get to the finish line. He projected himself on the world, not withdraw. This is what all the most prosperous do to realize their dreams. They look for opportunities as opposed to look for obstacles. Find a niche or anything that you love to do and JUST GO FOR IT. FEAR should not be a guiding principle in any of your personal endeavors. Be aware of open doors and walk through them. Now it’s one of those things that’s simple but not necessarily easy. If you can train your mind to think on a more conscious plane. Using the laws of attraction, law of vibrational attainment for example then you will be able to see these doors open and it will make your goals that much easier to attain. Use crystals to assist you. Flourite will help you concentrate and focus on what you want and Ametrine will assist you in letting go of your fears. Dedicate time to you plan and ONLY focus on your plan for that given time. Success is attainable for everyone and like the saying goes: “ain’t nothing to it but to do it.”-Sutekh

Generosity Leads to Abundance – 5 Principles of Generosity and How They Can Change Your Life
By Pat L Anderson

Generosity leads to abundance. Do you have to wait till your dreams come true before you can be generous? In our heads we know the answer is “No” but do we know that in our hearts? Generosity is a gift we give to the world every day. In fact, if you live by the principles of generosity you will be blessed with abundance.

Learning to be generous even while you are still experiencing difficulties can be a hard lesson but the rewards are life-changing. You have the ability to change your difficult situation by practicing generosity. Let’s discover more about how we can be generous and as a result, change the abundance we will have in our life.

The Principles of Generosity:

1.   Tithing. Giving back 10% of your income is the first principle of wealth. It doesn’t matter which personal development book you read, the great leaders have learned this principle and practice it faithfully. Giving to your place of worship is the first thing you must learn to do regularly.

2.   A bigger perspective. Principle #2 is to take our eyes off ourselves. Instead of focusing on ourselves we must look for a need. There are people all around you that have greater needs than you do. Find the people you could help and be creative in ways you could help them.

3.   Serve others. Learning to be a servant to others strengthens your generosity muscle. Find ways that you can serve in your community, in your church, in any place where you spend time or see a need.

4.   Help the hurting. Many people go through their days experiencing grief, loneliness and pain. Small gestures of compassion could change their lives. You have the power to make a difference in their lives with your generosity.

5.   What you give, you receive. What is it you need in your life? Whatever you give to others is how you will be repaid. Are you generous with your time? People will be quick to reciprocate you with time. Are you generous with your possessions? You will always have access to the tools you may need. Would you like to receive more money? Be generous with what you have.

Practice these principles of generosity and watch your life change from needy to abundance.
